Fun Diving on Koh Tao (2025)
If you’re already certified, Koh Tao is an easy place to log relaxed reef dives, wreck training dives, and the occasional pelagic visit. Boats run morning, afternoon, and some evenings for night dives, with small-group ratios at many shops.

Who can fun dive?
- Certified divers (OW or above). Bring your certification (physical or digital) and logbook if you have one.
- Been a while? If it’s been 12+ months since your last dive, most shops suggest (or require) a short refresher/Scuba Review before heading out.
Typical schedule
- Morning 2-tank: early meet-up, back late morning.
- Afternoon 2-tank: lunchtime meet, back before sunset.
- Night dive: early evening brief & splash (availability varies).
Popular sites
- HTMS Sattakut (Wreck): training-friendly wreck off Sairee.
- White Rock: classic reef; great for night dives.
- Chumphon Pinnacle & Southwest Pinnacle: deeper pinnacles with schooling fish (conditions dependent).
- Shark Island / Aow Leuk / Tanote: scenic reefs and boulders with frequent fish life.
